This Proves:

While Memoirs of a Geisha is an account of the life of Sayuri, it is a life full of deception whether it is indirect, overt, deliberate or unintentional. Deception is experienced by Sayuri through being deceived by herself, by others and through her role as a geisha in a deceitful soceity.

How is this relevant?

  1. Has there ever been a time where you have been deceived by others, or yourself or where you have been the deceiver?

  2. If you have ever been deceived, was it because they were really good at it, or was it because you wanted to be deceived?

The pretty lie vs the ugly truth

  1. which do you prefer?

  2. Which does soceity prefer?

  3. Which is best for soceity and humanity on the whole?
